So HSSA recieved a mail from a production house regarding a spot on Ignition (channel189) which I think would be a great promotional item for ourselves to perhaps get a potential sponsor to help our fields grow and air time for any potential sponsor.

We are the producers a TV show, airing on Ignition TV DSTV Channel 189, Racing with Celebs. During each episode we feature top South African talent and give them the opportunity of a lifetime – experience what it is to drive a race car around the track.
Racing with Celebs is a motorsport magazine series with 13 episodes, 24minutes in duration, and each episode features a top celebrity driving a real race car around the track. (We stimulate a race environment and we give the celebrities the feel of what it is like driving a race car around the track, with other race drivers. The could include anything from V8 Supercars, to modified production cars, Hot Rods, Oval cars etc.)
This includes pre and post-race interviews with all the different celebrities and also a more relaxing interview to find out more about the person behind the celebrity status. Previous Celebrities includes Mrs South Africa 2020, Jacqueline Ferns, Hykie Berg (Actor, Binnelanders), Lionel Mapoe (Rugby Player), Fanie de Villiers, 7de Laan actors, Jay Du Plessis (Singer) and lots more.
We are currently busy with filming Season 2 for Racing with Celebs and would like to invite you guys (historic Single Seaters) to be part of this exciting motorsport show and feature you on one of the episodes.
In order for us to film the episode with you guys, we need 2x cars that will be driven by myself and the celebrity for the day/episode, and then we would also like to invite all drivers to join us for the filming of the episode.
During the episode we will do an interview with the category rep/someone nominated by the club to tell us and the viewers more about you guys, the events, and how potential sponsors and drivers can join you guys. This is a great opportunity to promote your category, drivers and their sponsors to the viewers.
During the episode we need to do 1x practice session of 6 laps and 2x drive sessions of 8 laps to make sure we have enough footage for the episode.
We need a minimum of 6/8 cars on track to film the episode with you guys for Racing with Celebs. With the episodes we have already filmed, we focus on the faster drivers and front pack and then we cut to the celebrity and then again to other battles on track giving all drivers exposure.
The reason why we would like more cars on track is because we focus on different packs, with the episodes we already filmed we focus on the faster drivers and front pack and then we cut to the celebrity and then again to other battles on track giving all drivers exposure.
When there is more cars on track it gives a better viewing experience because we not only feature the celebrity, but also other drivers giving them exposure. This way we also give potential sponsors and drivers for you guys a better look and feel about the category.
Our aim with the second season is to make the racing insert more action packed and focusing on different battles, showing the viewers how much fun it is and how close the racing is.
You guys are allowed to put up advertising/sponsor banners/flags in the pit area and around the track during the filming of the episode for extra advertising and exposure.
We have a photographer on the day taking pictures for our social media pages and different media publications and the pictures will also be made available to you for exposure and advertising.
We film the episodes at Midvaal Raceway and we would like to find out if you guys would be interested and available to film the episode with Racing with Celebs on 2 April 2020? If the date don’t work for you guys, please let me know what date will suit you guys.
