AFTER 10 YEARS OUT OF THE COCKPIT, ALMOST UNBELIEVABLY I FOUND MYSELF BACK ON THE STARTING GRID at Zwartkops and Killarney's 19th Passion for Power events over the past two weekends, in South African Historic Single-Seater Association guru Ian Hebblethwaite's glorious 1971 Merlyn Mk20, a sister car to my own. To celebrate on my return from a tour of the mighty country's east coast motorsport hubs - East London and Port Elizabeth circuits, the Simola Hillclimb course at Knysna and the Franschhoek Motor Museum - I've changed my FB header photo to an image taken by HGPCA ace Will Nuthall from Killarney's pit balcony between successful outings in Giorgio Marchi's Cooper T53.
